Kaya Morelli

Kaya grew up in Homer, Alaska, where the outdoors is a part of everyday life. Before she could walk, she was boating the Alaskan seas and quickly after began climbing and skiing its endless peaks. She started fishing for salmon in Bristol Bay at the age of 12 and made what she likes to call her “first career” as a commercial fisherman, working various fisheries around the state for 15 years. Kaya completed her undergraduate degree in Physical Earth Sciences at Quest University Canada and has since migrated inland to the Tetons. She is passionate about creating meaningful relationships and experiences in the outdoors while always striving to learn and have fun. 2022 is Kaya’s first season with MFRE and we are stoked to have her be part of the team!
