ARTA migrates up to the Middle Fork every year from the Tuolumne River in California, and also offers trips on many other classic rivers around the west. ARTA has been sharing the river’s magic with folks for 50 years, and continues to do so under the philosophy that all profits generated by trips are reinvested into the outfit, or donated to conservation efforts. Every river trip that ARTA runs helps to strengthen the mission of protecting wild rivers for future generations to enjoy. ARTA is not trying to compete with the high end luxury outfitters on the water; they believe in the simple essence of spending time on the river, in the wilderness with friends and family. ARTA believes that guests get more out of the experience when given the opportunity to be part of the team, and are encouraged to help out whenever possible.
Like ARTA, MFRE also encourages guests to get involved wherever and whenever possible. Some folks just can’t stay out of the kitchen, so step on in and learn the secrets of Dutch oven cooking. Our guides are eager to get new friends involved in all of the intricacies involved with running a smooth and enjoyable river trip. Along with ARTA, MFRE is also helping protect our nation’s wild rivers by donating a percentage of every booking to Idaho Rivers United and their salmon conservation efforts, as well as The Wilderness Society and Trout Unlimited. If an MFRE launch date doesn’t work for your itinerary, then join ATRA on the Middle Fork of the Salmon, and experience why the preservation of wild rivers is absolutely imperative.
